Pandit Deendayal Energy University’s (Formerly Pandit Deendayal Petroleum University) 100-acre campus is located in Gandhinagar, which is the capital city of Gujarat and located 23 Km North from a well-developed city called Ahmedabad with a population of 8 million people. The city is famous for its remarkable cultural development and social life.

PDEU offers multiple courses ranging from engineering, arts, and management along with maximum exposure and opportunities to its students through various national and International exchange programs with Best Universities worldwide. Schools at PDEU

 

School of Petroleum Management offers M.B.A. in (a) Energy & Infrastructure and (b) General Management, Ph.D., Post Graduate Diploma in Petroleum Management for Executives (PGDPM-X) and Management Development Programmes.

 

School of Petroleum Technology offers B.Tech., MTech. and Ph.D. programs in Petroleum Engineering. It is academically engaged in creating a high-quality talent pool for the hydrocarbon sector across the entire value chain.

 

School of Technology offers B.Tech. in the fields of Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Computer & ICT besides the Ph.D. Programs in the above areas. It also offers MTech in Nuclear & Solar Engineering and other disciplines.

 

School of Liberal Studies offers four-year Bachelor programme in the field of Liberal Studies, M.A. in Public Administration/ International Relations/ Political Science as well as the Ph.D. programs.

About School of Liberal Studies (SLS)

 

PDEU has launched School of Liberal Studies which currently offers Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees that equips a student to develop an array of intellectual skills, a variety of methodologies and ways of understanding our changing world, and a broad base of varied knowledge. In turn, such a Liberal Education establishes an invaluable foundation for more specialized study in one's major or in one of the professions, and for a life-long affinity for learning and continuing intellectual development.

The course imparts classical education in various fields like art, literature, languages, music, dramatics, philosophy, politics, history, law, mathematics, science and general studies. It emphasizes on the need to seek knowledge for promoting intellectual growth, creative expression and rational thought.

Eligibility Criteria

 

• The student seeking admissions to:
  • B.A. (Hons.)/B.B.A. (Hons.) is required to have passed 12th standard examination or equivalent from any discipline. 
  • B.Com. (Hons.) is required to have passed 12th standard examination or equivalent from Commerce stream or should have studied accounting and/or commerce related subjects in 12th standard.
  • B.Sc. (Hons.) should have passed 12th standard examination or equivalent from science stream or with minimum any 2 of the following subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

 

• Candidate must have passed any of the following qualifying examinations; with English as one of the subjects:
  • The +2-level examination in the 10+2 pattern of examination of any recognized Central/State Board of Secondary Education, including Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi, and Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi.
  • Intermediate Science or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/University.
  • Final Examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defense Academy.
  • General Certificate Education (GCE) Examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level with minimum passes of 2/3 subjects.
  • High School Certificate Examination of Cambridge University
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma Program with the minimum passes of 6 subjects (3HL and 3SL) with 24 points.
  • Any Public School/Board/University Examination in India or in foreign countries recognized by the Association of Indian Universities as equivalent to 10+2 system
  • Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Open School with minimum five subjects.
  • H.S.C. Vocational Examination.

 

Selection Procedure

 

Written Test and Personal Interview:

 

Merit for admissions will be based on the total marks obtained in the entrance exam. The candidate has to appear for all the three sections - Written Test: Aptitude test + creative writing, and Personal Interview to qualify for the Merit List.

Some important instructions

 

• The type and nature of questions will be at par with other BBA entrance exams.
• Candidates can choose the order of section while taking the exam.
