About the Institute

The university was established by Shiv Nadar Foundation and funded by Mr. Shiv Nadar, founder, and Chairman of HCL Technologies. It is an interdisciplinary research University located in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. 

In a major decision, acknowledging the research-centric pedagogy of the university, the government of India has chosen SNU as the institute of eminence. 

Courses Offered

University offers 16 undergraduate courses through its four schools. School of Natural Sciences offers Graduation in Pure Sciences. School of Engineering offers engineering courses in 6 different streams. School of management offers BMS. 

Admission Process

Admission to all the above programs is through SNUSAT & APT. (For engineering courses JEE score is also considered.)

For non-engineering courses, admission can be obtained in two different processes which both involve SNUSAT. One involves an interview and the other requires XII board marks.





Shiv Nadar University Scholastic Aptitude Test (SNUSAT) is the online entrance test conducted by the university followed by Academic Proficiency Test (APT).

APT for different streams and courses are different. For engineering courses, it involves Physics and Maths. For Management, a student is made to write 2 essays i.e. critical writing 1 and critical writing 2.
